Recens® Plough tripper
Plough tripper that discharges bulk material from a belt conveyor at any point along its length. Fixed or travelling, single or dual side discharge, for belt widths from 500 to 1,400 mm in grain, fertilizer and coal storage.
Applications
The Recens® Plough Tripper turns one belt conveyor into a multi-point discharge system. A steel plough blade is mounted over the belt at an angle; as the belt runs past, the blade lifts the moving material off the belt and guides it sideways down a discharge chute into a silo, bin or loading bay below. Nothing has to be re-routed and the belt itself is never cut. The tripper can be a fixed unit at a single discharge point, or mounted on a travelling carriage that runs along a guide rail so the discharge point can be moved from bin to bin — the standard arrangement in grain depots, fertilizer warehouses and port terminals where one conveyor has to fill many storage points.
Key Features
• Plough blade diverts material off the belt into the discharge chute — one conveyor, many discharge points
• Single-side or dual-side (both sides at once) discharge, selected to suit the bin layout
• Fixed version for a permanent discharge point, or travelling carriage on guide rail for shifting discharge along the length of the conveyor
• Manual, electric or pneumatic actuation — the plough can be raised out of the material stream remotely when no discharge is wanted
• Heavy-duty structural frame with skirting at the inlet, so material does not spill at the discharge transition
• Abrasion-resistant plough blade and liners, replaceable without dismantling the conveyor
• Rail clamps and limit switches prevent derailment and over-travel on travelling units
• Can be fitted to a new conveyor or retrofitted to an existing one in the plant
Applications
Grain depots and silo complexes — distributing grain into multiple bins
Port and terminal bulk stores
Fertilizer warehouses and blending plants
Chemical plants handling granular products
Power station coal bunkers
Aggregate, ore and other mineral stockpiles

Why Recens
Recens has been building belt conveying and discharge equipment for grain, port and bulk terminal operators for more than two decades. Each plough tripper is built to the customer's conveyor, not to a standard size, and Recens also supplies the conveyor parts and service behind it — so the discharge system keeps working long after the warranty has run out.

Overview
Features
A plough blade mounted at an angle over the belt diverts the moving material into a discharge chute, so a single belt conveyor can serve many silos, bins or loading bays without being re-routed
Available as a fixed unit at one discharge point, or as a travelling carriage on a guide rail so the discharge point can be moved from bin to bin along the conveyor
Single-side or dual-side discharge; a bypass position allows the conveyor to run past without discharging anything
Manual, electric or pneumatic actuation — the plough can be lifted clear of the material stream remotely from the control room
Heavy-duty structural frame and inlet skirting eliminate spillage at the discharge transition and keep the tripper rigid under load
Abrasion-resistant plough blade and replaceable liners reduce wear and extend service life; blades can be changed without dismantling the conveyor
Cast or forged steel travelling wheels in hardened 400 / 500 mm diameter, running on a 15 or 22 kg/m guide rail, with rail clamps and limit switches to prevent derailment and over-travel
Can be fitted to a new conveyor or retrofitted to an existing one, matched to belt widths from 500 mm to 1,400 mm
Recommended for belt speeds up to 2.5 m/s with a vulcanised belt joint, handling granular material up to about 25 mm of low abrasiveness
Customer benefits
One conveyor fills many storage points — lower capital cost than installing a separate conveyor for each bin
Even distribution of material across bins and silos, making full use of the available storage space
Much less manual work in the storage building, and no need to open and close bin gates by hand
Built for decades of reliable service, delivering dependable quality that saves you time and money
